Nilay Shah, MD, is a highly trained, board-certified neurologist at Formé Medical Center and Urgent Care in White Plains, New York. With nearly two decades of medical experience, he specializes in multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, strokes, headaches, and general neurology.

Dr. Shah earned his undergraduate degree in biology with a concentration in neurobiology and behavior from Cornell University School of Agriculture & Life Sciences in Ithaca, New York, and a medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in St. George, Grenada, West Indies. 

Dr. Shah completed an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in Miami, Florida, and Elmhurst Hospital Center in Queens, New York City. He finished up his training with a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

He maintains his medical credentials with continuing education to stay up to date with the latest advances in neurology diagnostics and treatments. He has completed and published numerous research studies in prestigious medical journals and has given a variety of medical presentations. 

He is a member of the New York State Neurological Society, Medical Society of the State of New York, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, American Medical Association, American Epilepsy Society, American Clinical Neurophysiology Society, and the American Academy of Neurology.

In his spare time, Dr. Shah enjoys web design, sports, scuba diving, and traveling. He has visited 81 countries over the last 30 years and enjoys learning about different cultures and religions.
